Hooked on stamping!!
I've never really been into stamping. That was until I bought the Daisy and Dandelion kits from QVC with stamps included!! Around the same time I bought some watercolour pencils from Ideal World, so I had no excuse not to have a go and I'm now addicted!! I love these teddies as they can be used for lots of different occasions. The pencils make life so easy - a quick scribble with the pencils and a splosh of water and they're done!! I used my new Dreamkutz machine to cut loads of 4 inch squares and that has meant that I have used up loads of 12 x 12 inserts which came with different albums and are a bit too plain for scrapbook backgrounds. I've also been able to use up some of my massive pile of scraps!! Woohoo!! There will be loads more cards coming to a blog near you soon!!!

Chocolate Day!!
One of my birthday presents last year was a Chocolate Workshop and yesterday I went along with my friend Charlol for the experience. We went to The Queens Club in London. We began with a short talk about chocolate and a white chocolate fountain. We were then guided step by step through the truffle making process.
First we mixed cream and chocolate to make the ganache for the centres.
Step two was piping the ganache into long sausage shapes.
Trying to make the truffles into perfect spheres was difficult for those of us with 'hot hands'! It just kept melting!!
We finally covered our truffles with chocolate and rolled them in the trays of toppings. (This was the messy bit - hands dunked in chocolate!)

We finished off by packing our lovely truffles in cellophane topped off with a ribbon!! Ta da!!
It was a lovely afternoon, so thanks to the Burrages and Ahmeds for a great present!

Candyfloss and Marshmallow
Another of my QVC purchases! I bought the Candyfloss and Marshmallow kit which included die cut decoupage, stickers backing papers and stamps - yes stamps!! I began with the decoupage and used the papers from the kit, some freebie papers from a magazine and scraps from my stash to create lots of layers - not something I usually do, but I'm pleased with the effect. I'm now getting into stamping - something new for me - and also bought the Bubbles and Squeak stamps from the same series. I'm having a great time colouring using water colour pencils. More of those in a few days!
